CRC is an independent health outcomes research organization and data provider specializing in the provision of data analysis and economic models primarily for the pharmaceutical industry. CRC is undergoing a period of rapid expansion and is looking to appoint experienced and motivated individuals with skills in data analysis and statistical and mathematical model building to join its existing team of epidemiologist, statisticians and health economists.
Current vacancies:
Successful applicants will undertake consultancy projects in health economic modeling and NHS capacity planning. A track record of project leadership, modeling in healthcare decision-making and academic publication is advantageous.
The successful applicant/s will be expected to perform statistical analysis and develop deterministic and simulation models for cost effectiveness analysis and capacity planning and to contribute to the design/development of projects and to publish project work in peer-reviewed journals.
Ideally candidates will have a good first degree in a numerate subject and a good track-record of undertaking modeling; an ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and statistical packages such as S-Plus. Experience with SIMUL8 would be an added advantage. .
Successful applicants will undertake statistical consultancy projects analyzing patient level data from a variety of sources. Typically projects comprise epidemiological and burden of illness type studies using primary and/or secondary care data. Familiarity with handling very large data sets is essential as is the ability to analyze data using a variety of multivariate techniques. The successful applicant/s will work closely with CRCs database engineers and senior analysts to produce reports and publications of the highest standard.
Ideally candidates will have a degree in mathematics, statistics or operational and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of S-Plus would be an advantage.
